For years the Einböck Tined Weeder has been well established at home and abroad not only for mechanised crop maintenance, but also as an alternative to chemical weed control. The Einböck Tined Weeder achieves decisive results in soil care through its successful application on cereals, maize, turnips, rape, potatoes, vegetables, peas, soya, field-beans and grassland. As you can see, there is almost no limit on the working area of the Tined Weeder. Many other effects, which result from the use of the Tined Weeder, contribute positively to the forming of a good stock of plant cultivation:

Hoes

In agriculture the use of hoeing machines has gained importance in the last few years, focusing more and more on ecological needs under different conditions. Therefore measures of weed control, as for example regulated crop succession, careful cultivation, balanced dunging and a careful seed bed preparation, are more and more important.Two machine systems, share- and rollstar hoes, are available. With the AEROSTAR-EXACT it is possible to weed row-crops (such as maize, soybean, sun flower, field bean etc.) already at the cotyledon stage (the row is already visible with the naked eye. This is made possible by the precise depth control and especially by the accurate setting options of aggressiveness.

The weeder has pivoting rear wheels for a precise depth control of the tines. The 600 mm long and 7 mm thick cranked tines adapts perfect to unevenness of the ground. They allow the weeding even in a later stage of development of the crop, without hurting them.

The AEROSTAR-EXACT can not only work gentle. With an aggressive adjustment and slightly “on-hold” positioned tines even strong soil encrustations are effectively broken without damaging the plant.

The tine angle is centrally controlled via the hydraulic section adjustment stepless from the tractor. This hydraulic system allows hydraulic levelling therefore even on very uneven fields the same pressure on each section across the entire working width can be obtained.

The spring coil of the tine is mounted below the tine holder, the tine can therefore vibrate better and does every movement form the spring. This enables a better weeding effect than a conventional spring tine. Due to the known close line spacing of 25 mm the soil profile is completely tilled. Furthermore the lateral movement of the tine causes that plant residues and uprooted weeds can pass the weeder section better and so the risk of clogging is minimized.

The AEROSTAR-ROTATION is a rotative weeder with high flexibility in use. The star wheels are mounted inclined, therefore the efficiency of weed control is more than respectable. Further those wheels are very insensitive to organic residues. AEROSTAR-ROTATION

6 mm thick steel tines, casted into an inclined plastic disc do the job. Each of these 50 cm big star wheels is suspended separately. Therefore they adapt perfectly to any surface irregularities. The discs are mounted at a line distance of 15 cm on sections of 1.50 m. The inverted arrangement of these inclined mounted discs from the middle of the machine prevents from a possible side pull.

Comfortable pressure adjustment from the tractors seat:
An innovative system uses the power of two counteracting tension springs. By extending the hydraulic cylinder, the tension of the preload spring increases. The pressure on the star wheels increases as well. When retracting the cylinder, the relieving spring is tensioned. If desired the pressure on the working tools can actively be reduced, even until absolutely no pressure is left anymore (the star discs are floating).

The use of the machine for weed control before seeding is possible. Then an aggressive setting has to be chosen. In doing so, the steel tines even pull out deeper-lying roots and take them off on the earth.

The Einböck ROTARYSTAR promises high area performance, versatility and einboeck-rotarystar-PB15132-Ihigh adaptability. The rotating working tools (rotor stars) reliably breaks and crumbles soil crusts, caused by heavy rain. High operating speed of 12 – 25 km/h makes the rotary hoe very powerful. It can be used at the most various crops. Due to the rolling rotor spikes crops residues are not dragged, therefore the ROTARYSTAR is ideal for weed control in mulch seedbeds. The lighter weeds remain in the air longer than soil clods and are on the top after passing. The weeds dry out quickly and stop growing.

ROTARYSTAR

The disc arms are preloaded by torsion springs and distributed in two rows on 1.5 m wide sections. The narrow disc distance of 9.4 cm and the high operating speed ensures that the soil profile is completely tilled. Therefore shallow-rooted weeds have no chance. Via the hydraulically actuated parallelograms the spring force can be adjusted during the work, according to the prevailing conditions. In addition, this system allows hydraulic levelling therefore even on very uneven fields the same working depth is kept over the entire working width.

For simultaneous sowing of undersown crops it is possible, of course, to mount one of the Einböck seeders P-BOX SPEED, PNEUMATICBOX or ROTOSEEDER.

Mechanical weed control between the rows is always a sensitive issue: You have to find the right mix between operating speed and distance to the row. In order to avoid early fatigue of the tractor driver and to allow ideally that the soil profile is completely tilled (in conjunction with a fingerweeder), Einböck has developed the ROW-GUARD. The camera steering system guides row-crop cultivator with absolute precision, even at high speeds. The setting of the row configurations (row spacing, number of rows, etc.) is simply done from the tractor cab. The image is scanned to find the higher concentrations of green pixels relating to the crop rows and, using prior knowledge of the row configuration, overlay a matching grid onto the image. This information is then utilised to bring the equipment onto the exact row centres via a hydraulic side-shift. The system is used in various green crops, regardless of row spacing, number of rows, etc.

ROW-GUARD

Increased working accuracy, efficient weed control and extremely high operating speeds of up to 15 km/h (depending on the conditions in the field) are among the biggest advantages of the system. The tractor driver will appreciate this system: The driver tires less quickly, because the attention is only focused on keeping the right track – the accurate shift to the row is done by the ROW-GUARD.
Because the ROW-GUARD looks at multiple rows it maintains high accuracy at all times even in high weed infestations. The two lenses have a different exposure setting, thus shadows have only a minimal impact (even in strong sunlight).The total displacement path of 500 mm compensates even larger track deviations. The lower link quick couplers on the rear side of the side-shift frame simplify attachment to the row-crop cultivator.

Tined Weeder AEROSTAR

70% of the weeds can be destroyed with mechanical weed control. The remaining 30% do not damage the culture plant decisively. From the mentioned 70 %, 70 % of the weeds are covered in the germination stage and only 30 % of the weeds are destroyed by being pulled out. Therefore correct timing of the operation is crucial. The Einböck Tined Weeder AEROSTAR with a line spacing of 2.5 cm (lichter spacing of 1.85 cm), 40 tines per m working width are standard. The number of tines and the exact tine guidance with a 28 mm long plastic holder offer a higher tine vibration in connection with the working width. This better tine vibration allows a better soil preparation. So more pourable soil, covering the weed, is created.

AEROSTAR

The machine is pulled behind the tractor on 2 or 4 supporting wheels, which provide a consistent depth for the 6-tined weeder sections. An adjusting lever allows to bring the tines in the necessary slating position.The pipe carrying the tines is stable and does not twist – this guarantees the same adjustment of the tines over the full length of the pipe. Therefore it ensures an equal aggressiveness of the tines in working position. Especially in hard soil conditions this is extremely important. The exact guidance of the plastic holders keep the tines on the correct track. The tines are always kept in driving direction what makes them vibrate stronger. These holders guarantee the tines cannot twist or loosen. The spring-coils are positioned under the holder. This allows the tines vibrate more easily and all movements come out of the spring.
Tined Weeder, trailed
A sturdy tube frame with a half-timbered construction, incorporating a large triangular brace, prevents the weeder from forward as well as backward swinging. All sections of the Einböck Trailed Weeder are suspended from a suspended beam. These suspended beams are controlled hydraulically (Hydraulic Balance Compensator). Ground unevenness can be optimally compensated by using the suspended beam guide. Of course, all hydraulic functions can be controlled from the cabin seat by an electro-magnetic control valve. A better solution! Einböck suspended beam system – Constant soil pressure condition.

The HILLSTAR ridger for hill-crops is appropriate for row widths between 60 – 90 cm. Depending on the version, 2 – 12 rows are possible.
